My lights in the DARWIN App are greyed out and cannot be controlled.

Devices appear greyed out on the DARWIN application because they have lost network connection. This can be as a result of power loss to either the specific unit or network hub linking the device to the network.

In order to troubleshoot this issue for speakers, please follow the instructions below:

  • Check for power to the light by physically viewing the light switch. DARWIN requires power to communicate with the lights. They need to be powered (i.e. switch in on position) at all times.
  • Confirm light is powered by turning off, then on, ensuring to leave light in on position.
  • If lights turn on, refresh the UI screen. Do this by navigating to another screen and returning.
  • Wait 10 seconds then push a command to the lights.

If lights don’t turn on, there may be an issue with the power on this circuit and an electrician may be required to rectify.
