The Air Quality Sensor can be dismounted. The DARWIN Air Quality Sensor contains a battery backup allowing the device to function independently from its power supply.

However, we recommend doing so only when there is a need to replace the sensors units. Depending on the devices network connection, dismounting and removing may prevent air quality data reporting to the DARWIN ecosystem.

Remove by removing the small Phillips head screw at the base of the unit. The unit then pulls away from the base hinging at the top. Be sure to disconnect both power supply and ethernet cable if installed to prevent damage of the cables or connections.

The base of the unit is removed with three fixings.
